This executive leader will play a key role in setting strategy and executing the sales and channel plans in order to achieve specific business unit goals. The position requires intensive interaction with appointed and prospective channel partners. The candidate will develop and manage programs for distributing Company's range of risk management products through crop insurance agencies and other strategic distribution partners.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with a proven track record of sales management experience in Agriculture, preferably in crop insurance. This role represents a rare opportunity for a senior leader to play a significant role in a high-growth early-stage opportunity in the agriculture market. The position offers significant growth and financial upside for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine multi-channel sales strategy and resource allocation to realize growth plan
- Establish overall account growth strategy and establish key initiatives across sales channels to maximize partner engagement and sell-through
- Recruit and hire additional sales team members, and manage the agriculture sales team, including establishing productivity metrics, quota setting and territory management
- Drive sales growth by setting goals and objectives and measuring progress and holding team accountable to exceed results
- Establish and cultivate product and channel-oriented distribution partner relationships, with regular senior-level client reviews
- Work closely with Company'sl Product and Marketing functions to develop product roadmap, channel training programs, and communications activities across all strategic channels
- Deliver market/client data to Marketing to facilitate product advances based on demand and client direction
- Collaborate with peers across client teams to drive best practices and ensure consistent, high quality and repeatable performance, including continuing evolution of the sales process
- Communicate and reinforce sales compensation incentive plan and provide input to ensure incentives are aligned with company goals

REQUIREMENTS
- 10 or more years experience in senior sales leadership positions in Agriculture, preferably in crop insurance.
- Extensive experience managing insurance agency relationships and developing agency partner programs
- Extensive knowledge of production agriculture
- Solid understanding of the principles of risk management
- An understanding of agricultural price risk management would be helpful
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong selling, relationship and consultation skills
- Experience leading and developing sales teams
- Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies, territory design, quota management and sales compensation
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
