Firms are eager to hire new employees due to labor shortages. That does not mean they always find exceptional candidates, especially if potential candidates web presence is lacking. It is no secret that search firms utilize social media to uncover talent. More than half of employers use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to recruit new employees, while over 85% use LinkedIn.

Want to stand out online? Build a strong personal brand that displays your knowledge by what you share, comment on, and display. Position yourself by posting compelling content.

Do not just post your job duties on LinkedIn. Put your work into context by describing your outcomes. Explain how you generated revenue, helped your department gain new consumers, or repositioned your company’s brand.
